If it was me editing the post I would remove all the post m8.... unless there is good points in the post - your just removing the abusive stuff.... if its all abusive then its best to move it all. Its what you feel is offensive that needs to be removed.

Paul, can the "edited by" line be removed on auto-merge posts?
It's pointless informing everyone of the change if the merge seperator has the date and timestamp on it in the first place.
