I can never get the timings quite right on my pop up toaster. It either comes out luke warm, or all singed. Anyone got any recommendations?

use a grill and watch it ;)
Thread Closed. No toast discussions here! :)
you can't beat using the grill to get an even toast mmmmmm
not if you take it out half way through and turn it over or knock it with a knife but just like Grandma used to ;)
Ooh, must try that. Sounds like an upmarket Brevile Sandwhich maker ;)
Great for cheese toasties :)
What about fish fingers with some tomato?
Cheese gets a bit messy, especially if it's the soft kind.
Who what where? Has he got any toast with him?
I've removed a number of off-topic posts, please can we try to stick to the topic please?
This is one of the few 'sensible' threads here, I'd like to see what comes of it.
Thank you,
Rob M
Toast. The taste of butter melting, the tumble of baked beans on top or a devouring spread of strawberry jam… making the perfect toast is the one ingredient that never changes. :D
Ever tried putting cheese on toast in the toaster :D
The Cable Forum Team would just like to point out that they are unable to provide expert advice on any aspect of toast making, nor on the equipment that might be used to make such toast.
They do not condone the introduction into your toaster of any substance that it was not designed to take, nor the use of your toaster for any purpose outside that for which it was made.
All Members are advised to read, understand, and follow the instructions that come with their toaster (or any other appliance) - you are also encouraged to remember that there is no more important safety rule than to wear these:

Safety Glasses.
Thank you for your attention and understanding.
But those won't fit over my glasses.
All toast should be burnt, when the smoke is rising, the toast is ready. :)
I thought the consumption of carbon was a cause for cancer lol
Remember folks:
If it's brown it's cooked, if it's black it's [Moderator Edit]really cooked.

I want to report this :p
So long as the toaster has a good BOIIINGGG sound and the toast is ejected to a good height it works for me.
Cheapy Sainsgogs 4 slice does the job nicely https://www.kolobok.us/smiles/standart/ok.gif
I use my laser eyes for the toast anyway.
