server, firewall they are all thingies to me. Man made inventions, typical.

What does firewall 1&1 mean?

1&1 are the hosting company (where the website is based), and the firewall is the piece of software/hardware which protects the server/site against naughty people (but it sometimes goes wrong, protecting the site against people who should be able to use it).

I'm back on now but for a few mins I couldn't access the site
